Trunk will not close

On a 2005 Audi A8 Trunk lid will go down but, once it touches the seals it retracts and opens again. I have found that the micro switch inside upper latching mechanism is faulty. It dose not sand the signal that the trunk lid is latched and then opens. I would also check the alignment of the hinges. If the trunk dose not open on its own and partially close this is not the problem. The micro switch is integrated into the upper latching mechanism.
